WHO AM I?
My name is Matthew Bryce and I have been working in the people profession for over a decade now. I say the people profession because it is my belief that quality of care is about quality of relationships. Much of my work has been focused on helping people to find dignity in their purpose and contentment in the lives that they are enacting.
Sometimes we just need an outside observer or an impartial eye to help us gain an insight into our lives. This may be to break a bad habit that we did not notice forming, or to steer our relationships in the right direction. It may be that you are struggling with retail addiction or cannot come to terms with a loss. It may be career advice, or it may be that you are dissatisfied with your confidence. None these issues are not insurmountable, and I have been there with people before. The greatest guide here is humanity, which does not happen in isolation.
Compassion and understanding are the fundamentals of the human experience. We all have a yearning to be understood and to be handled with care. These are basic concepts, but they are not always evident in how we live. Like all good things, they can be brought forth and enhanced.
As for my personal practice, my focus has primarily been on trauma and healing. We are a generation of people living with huge vicarious trauma and this is reflected in our mental health. Most of my work has been with families, with a focus on children and adolescents. I have supported young people on the Autism Spectrum, with mood disorders, addiction and a variety of behavioural issues.
In the end I just really enjoy helping people and seeing them achieve the purpose that they have set for themselves. I really hope to help you too, so please get in touch!
I hope to hear from you soon!
